The India Chronicles: Pushkar

Pushkar is a city in the state of Rajasthan that is  relatively small, but has so much to show to the world. The city built itself around a holy lake which is thought to have been formed by the tears of Lord Shiva. It is one of the two holy lakes created by his tears and thus is considered one of the sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites.

Photos are said to be worth a million words and while I partially agree with that, I think the lasting imprint that Pushkar made on my heart and my mind is priceless. So while I hope you all enjoy the following snapshots, I share these with the prospect that one day, you can venture to a place or if you already have, reminisce about a place that will teach you what it really means to appreciate the world we live in.

I started this blog to appreciate the finer things in life. The simple beauty that envelops us each and every precious moment of our lives. Beauty of course is something subjective. But there is no denying the exquisite delicacy of life and its radiating elegance. So here's to cherishing another blessed year to be immersed in our beautiful world.
